WILLIAMS
PINBALL
TSUBA

Judging by its first two releases new London label Tsuba aims at joining the dots between gentle electro and deep house. Williams aka Willie Threlfall is the bass player in Mylo’s band and has released an album on Glasgow Underground. The dreamy original of ‘Pinball’ is a slow, synthetic groover that’s sparse and simple yet catchy. The club mix gets er, clubbier with Capella euro stabs, ‘Your Love’ synth sequence and fat 303s. The Francisco remix speeds things up with a sprinkle of latin funky guitar, could be the soundtrack to a seventies cop show. Aural Distortion is Gustavo Sacchetti, a south american producer who seems to like it simple and repetitive. On remix duty Anja Schneider (Mobilee) gives ‘Fragmented’ a minimal polish.
