Spanish imprint theBasement Discos and their sublabel Miura are two of my fave labels for quite some time as they manage to deliver tracks which are both funky and have a certain Old Skool feel in them. Their more housier offerings all have a hint of classic underground House Music from the 90s and their Disco deliveries are always special. Here mister George Cynnamon comes in, a man who we know from his previous releases on labels like Salted Music or Moodfunk. His double A side release on theBasement Discos is full of 70s glamour, uptempo bass and clav powered funkiness on title track ‘Dizzy Dasco’ while ‘Happiness’ is a solid piano roller which certainly will fill your floors!
