Following on from ‘Willow’ – Henry Krinkle transforms the mighty ‘Ash’ into a powerful, thudding, instrumental with an enormous girth. There’s sorcery here as the depth and darkness of its rooted, bassline contrasts beautifully with the feminine, flutey keys and hypnotic melody. It’s a love and life affirming outing that’s perfectly in tune with a big room and is underground enough to entertain the back roomers too. ‘Ash’ happily spans the worlds around and within us. Top marks.
