For their next trick the Time Has Changed label turns to boss man Acumen. He pairs up with Ranacat to create two great new originals and famed tech house hero and 8Bit associate Georg turns up on remix duties. It’s a solid house package that will power dancefloors long into the night. The first track is actually Georg’s remix of Orchis Simia. It’s a track that glides along effortlessly with nice snare fills, sharp edged claps and plenty of loop, warm, inviting and diving bass notes. The original is a slower and more rooted affair with grinding bass and jamming chords that make for a heavyweight groove. It’s full of atmosphere, glistening chords and more and finally comes Tantalizing. This one is a more eerie and hollowed out cut to start with. Rippled with a gurgling acid line but also more beautiful melodies and feel good vocals, is a nice fusion of moods that really will do some damage on the floor.
