Let’s get one thing straight, for starters this is nothing to do with Armand Van the man, it’s South London off your shitter all the way. I don’t know how they manage to do it, but somehow Felix Buxton & Simon Ratcliff aka Basement Jaxx, keep that element of surprise, you kind of half know not to expect the expected, but “U Don’t Know Me” really does give you the ol’ wet kipper jobby, it slaps you round the face with Free “Alright Now” power chords, accompanied by a sassy vocal from Lisa Kekaula, & gives you a thoroughly good time, then leaves you confused, elated & saying to yourself, what the fuck was that, let’s do it again.
