So ok, not the most subtle of titles but then this killer production from Cannibal Ink is guilty as charged. The EP’s title track ‘Franco Is Dead’ cuts straight to the chase via ultra-funky Electro breaks (as in New York and early Eighties) alongside brooding basslines and an injection of Acid which all combines into one irresistible jam. ‘Sirius B’ then gets deeper with moody electronics sitting somewhere in between Berlin and ESG proving to be teasing and no less impactful. Timothy J. Fairplay provides a great remix with cinematic sounds adding a real sense of danger and tension to the smoking grooves.
