Dusky’s 17 Steps imprint welcomes Christian Piers to the fold with a stonking percussive tracker that will make you shake your rump like that over-excited Youtube Maltypoo. ‘Offf’ is a straight up, rapid fire, no holds barred techno tearer with that could make even the most jaded of clubbers stand to attention and salute. ‘Beat Wiser’ is a frenzied 303 excursion with raw and rootsy clattering beats and a squashy, beans-with-every-meal, farting bottom end. ‘Onn’ is a rolling percussive groove that makes you shimmy and squirm like you’ve got Carr’s Water Biscuit crumbs stuck in the folds of your undercrackers. And if you can imagine standing outside a club in the queue, whilst it’s played on a huge sound system and sounding like you need to be in that club then you know what you need and what I mean.
