Manchester’s Underground Music scores big time with this debut production by CyrusLo. The perhaps not so subtle, ‘High’ is the one to aim for with extremely infectious synth lines sounding almost like 90’s organ styled bass notes but they are however are so much more contemporary than that. Playing with that sense of melody then allows the uncomplicated underpinning of tough bass and drums to feel suitably moody, yet irresistible too, over the course of some six plus minutes. Get Close, is the darker of the pair with abrasive, sinister keys combining alongside likewise techy beats. The choice is all yours.
