Now on to release number four, UNER’s Solar Distance label is really turning heads. This time out it turns to the collaborative powers of Enric Ricone & Danny Fernandez for three new tracks of spaced out house music that are emotive yet functional. Surely, they will be the mark of a great year ahead for both label and producers.
Primavera is up first and is a truly spaced out and lush deep house number with rough perc off set by serene little synth details. It’s a rolling groove that is impossible not to get hooked on to. Samo is just as smooth and finely crafted but is a little more direct and forceful. It has cycling pads adding real atmosphere and raw Detroit style drums. Orion then rounds things out with more of the same – jittery perc, rubber drums and catchy melodic hook that make it deep yet driven. The is another fine EP for the label and one that proves the men behind it are producers you very much need to keep your eye on.
