Fasika – 4th Law Of Motion – (Sinnmusik)

Washington DC resident Fasika is next up on the sinnmusik label with a house EP that takes its cues from across the ages at the same time as looking forward. The American clearly has a deep understanding of groove and puts that to good use across all four cuts here.

Arthropoda goes first with its swaying, deep down basslines, filtered male vocals and colourful, quirky melodies. It will keep asses wiggling all night long, as will the slightly more sweaty and harder hitting Lighthouse. This one has big bold kicks cut from the same cloth as Kerri Chandler and employs some find old school chord stab action to really get things going. Next up Parkway gets a bit more techy with its big skewed chords, metallic surfaces and teeth clenching percussion. The big bombastic beats of The tropics, with its nimble chords, lively

synths and percussive splashes is another one to make floors move and it will do so in style.
