Harry Romero – Tania (The Remixes) – (Toolroom)

If you ever needed proof that bouncy, feelgood, filtered house was making a comeback then you need look no further than Toolroom’s diamond bright, remix package of Harry Romero’s 2000 slash 2001 Subliminal slash Bambossa classic ‘Tania’. Riva Starr delivers an uptempo, four-to-the-floor whomp-athon that will keep the steroid pumped, oversized vest, shorts and baseball cap (worn backwards) massive shuffling for all they’re worth. Purple Disco Machine’s reworking is a groove so lazy that horizontal lines feel a little wonky when they lie next to it. Then the Filterheadz close the package by cooking up a frenetic tech house roller that hisses and spits like a suckling pig on a summer barbecue. Essential artillery for those summer terrace sets. Do not sleep.
