Where to start with Reboot – one minute he’s all over disco funk deepness then the next he’s ladling out thick as you like, bubbling techno. Are we ok with this? But of course. The production is so crisp and clear it puts crystal to shame, the beats are so phat it’s like having your arse spanked with a giant’s slipper and the atmospherics – as in ‘Lubricalifornia’ will make every tiny hair on the back of your neck bristle like someone just walked over your grave. The Frenchie Thing is Grace Jones’ ‘La Vie En Rose’ pianos and bass line and sustained strings filtered and looped at full tilt. Perfect beach party vibes.
