Debuting with this first release on the newly formed PIV Records comes this reassuringly hot production from Roland Nights. This may not break the bank in terms of innovation but it certainly strikes the dancefloor where it matters. Therefore the aptly named ‘Recall’ opens with punchy, classic organ chords, soulful vocal edits alongside rolling bass and beats that just simply feel good. ‘Play It Down’ does just that with cool string lines, taught chord progressions and more emotive vocals all sounding enticing. However, when the title track hits you it’s all systems go. Everything here from the driving sparkling hi-hats to the deep throbbing bass and probing keys, to the addictive vocal hits all make this first rate House Music in any era. Complimented by Freydel & Osaka Remix that gives the track a fresh, deeper makeover this initial release is well worth your attention.
