With ‘49%’ still bubbling on radio and a fixture in many DJ sets, the third, and latest track elevated from ‘The Understanding’ is now set to take over. If the aforementioned worked a groove etched out of the best Paisley Park and psychedelica had to offer, then ‘What Else…’ echoes to the sounds of Icelandic hobbit, Bjork with vocally little to choose between guest vocalist Karin Dreijer from The Knife and the eccentric one. One of the album’s standouts, and a sound that was all too prevalent on the group’s debut album, again pairs pained and dreamy vocals with a low electric guitar of signature beeps, while an uber cool and cutting edge set of remixes have been assembled including Thin White Duke, TrentemØller, Vitalic and the Emperor Machine. Between them that’s pretty much something for everyone.
