Souldust & Deeleegenz – When I Knew – (Electronical Reeds)

Belgian label Electronical Reeds has been on fire recently, with hot EPs from the likes of OD Math really wining the label plenty of acclaim around the world. Here they turn to brand new pair Souldust & Deeleegenz for a new two tracker that continues on the label’s fine run of form by serving up one original and one remix from El Mundo.

In original form, When I Knew is a skipping, lively and spritely tech cut with bubbling vocal samples, slithering synth lines and plenty of future soul all pervading its grooves. Subtle effects and drum fills add energy to the track and it is sure to get people on their toes this summer. El Mundo, for his part, flips the track interlay. Opening with some serene string sweeps, the track then lowers down into a rolling, romantic deep house groove with nice wooden and organic sounding hits, lush chords and plenty of spacious bass chambers. This EP is a tale of two halves and both sound as good as each other, despite being wholly different.
