Brazilian Victor Ruiz makes a fine debut on Thomas Schumacher’s Electric Ballroom with a superb techno double header that could blow fire, scorch earth and melt mountains. I’m embarrassed to say that I am a few weeks’ late to the pre-release party here but since I love practically all things Thomas Schumacher sized, think that this new label is killer and that this release is jaw-dropping, I think you will forgive me. ‘Draco’ is the sort of tech house tear-up that drags people out of the dark speaker corners into the middle of the dancefloor, whilst ‘Serpens’ waves a Kraken sized bassline around, just when you thought it was safe to nod your head instead of dance. Killers both. Seek it out and let it destroy.
