San Diego’s Crocodiles are gearing up for the release of their second LP due later this summer, and to wet your appetite they are unleashing the glorious “Sleep Forever”. Recorded in the Californian desert with James Ford at the controls, “Sleep Forever” is a fuzzy soaring wall of sound anthem, sporting a classic pair of Wayfarers whilst getting out of it in the hazy sunshine. If you was to put The Stone Roses, Spiritualized Electric Mainline and a sprinkling of The Beach Boys in the blender… On the flip you’ll find the mind boggling, but also touching on genius, coupling of “Groove Is In The Heart” / “California Girls”, which slightly defies belief to start with, but once you get sucked into it, there’s no letting go, before it spins you out on The Monkees “Head” delays. Got to be in the running for single of the year.
