PIXEL
DO YOU MISS ME?
COUNTERPOINT

Positioning itself somewhere between George Levin and Kenny Dixon Jr in terms of production values, Pixel’s “Do You Miss Me” is demanding attention from a wide range of djs, due to it’s tweaked out wash of bleeps, and also Matthew Hayne’s yearning, soulful vocals, that give it a certain individual quality. Not quite garage or brokenbeat, it’s comfortable to languish somewhere in-between. The broken “Grippin’ To Dirt On Rotory Earth” has no such identity crisis, though. Rougharsed drums and ragga vocals that are straight out of the speakers and in your face. Lifted from Pixel’s debut album, “People Need People”.
