Ten Bears are a new psychedelic pop outfit from Salford that are already making waves across the pond. “Braces” is their firing on all cylinders debut single, a hook laden infectious tale of childhood memories. “By the middle of the 1980’s we were alive and rocking the braces”, and thankfully it doesn’t sound eighties, in fact it’s totally modern and got more in common with the big lavish widescreen productions of MGMT, but it’s also got hints of glam rock, Madchester and Brit pop, which is a nice touch, giving it plenty of swagger. “Braces” reels you in right from the off and leaves you wanting more. No debut LP news yet, but Ten Bears are definitely blazing a trail.
