THE K.B.C.
TEST THE WATER
HIGH VOLTAGE SOUNDS

The K.B.C. are a trio from Preston, that have been ripping up dancefloors across Paris, Austria and Ibiza, as well as playing alongside The Strokes and The Paddingtons. ‘Test The Water’ rides on a fully charged 4/4 pounding rhythm, that pushes the guitar riffs through the roof, lifting the choruses to anthem status. I can see it now, they’ll be singing along at gigs, clubs, bedrooms and bathrooms everywhere, as James Mulholland belts it out. The 7” single comes backed with another foot stomper ‘Steven Get Even’, which moves on a sleazy disco groove, then explodes into overloaded hair raising punk funk choruses, that have got a certain Franz Ferdinand feel about them, they make you want to jump about and shout a lot. The CD is also backed with another corker ‘Divide & Rule’, coming on with a pitched up Spencer Davies Group vibe, and then heading off into stadium territory. The K.B.C. are definitely one of the outfits that are gonna have it big time in 2007.
