The Scottish Outburst label boss delivers his eagerly awaited debut album, encompassing a wide spectrum of influences in the process. Confirm Humanity effortlessly resonates between uplifting, vocal, techy and harder influences, and upon hearing the opening 128 bpm dark acid groove of ‘The End Is The Beginning‘ (Mallorca Lee on vocals), you just know this isn’t going to be your usual generic album ride. Every track really does offer something different here, some instantly satisfying, such as lead track ‘Confirm Humanity’ – packing serious uplifting energy and drive. Anthemic and epic vocal collaborations with Christina Novelli, Marcella Woods, and the very unique lyrics and talented voice of Clare Stagg on ‘Poison Apple’. Also present are less obvious growers, that over time manage to conjure impressive familiarity, and of course some harder artillery as Mark locks horns with the mighty Scot Project on the arena-sized ‘Gentech – Feel My Love’ and highly-respected Derb and Space Frog on ‘Follow Me’. A flawless example of how to deliver an artist album, impress your current fans and most certainly win some more.
