With many of the key techno players trancing up arenas with classics and more melodic excursions these days, the gates are well and truly open for a tidal wave of hybrids from the ground up. Making a very impressive entrance on the very consistent Finder records is UK based DJ and Producer Mike James. Already causing a stir in his region by playing some high-profile support gigs and locked into a regular studio schedule. Here are four debut tracks that will appeal equally to progressive fans or techno acts looking to work a bit of euphoria into their sets. The production values are high all round, but for me it’s lead track ‘Get High’ that steals the show with its firing vocal command and hair raising breakdown. Definitely one to watch!
