I really don’t review more commercial House records that often, mainly simply because I just don’t play that kind of stuff in my sets. Nevertheless, if music is produced well and a track has a certain potential, I do make exceptions to the rule occasionally. Berlin resident Mike La Funk is bringing a tropical Vocal House tune as his debut single on Armada Music. The track’s vocals work up a poppy, vocal styled vibe, while the groove and bassline breathe deeper house influences. “Going ON” is the kind of sunny – piano – vocal house tune, you’re looking for right now. Feel good dance music that simply won’t let you go. Perhaps this is a little taste of more sunny times, that surely will come in a few months time.
