Chapter 24 hits chapter 20 here with a great new EP that touches on many different styles. Across the four cuts house music in all its glory is explored. The Hamburg man who has travelled the world and released on labels like Parquet, Steyoyoke, Darkroom Dubs and more is behind the original and remixes come from Marc DePulse, Third Son and Atapy.
The final Atapy remix is my favourite for the way it is so airy and light, with stars littering a spacious night sky and sumptuous beats rolling out below. The original is a more up-tempo and peak time affair but is just as colourful and spiritual. The drums are direct and delicious and it is a fresh and modern sounding proposition. Elsewhere Third Son impresses with his remix and Marc DePulse gets gritty and grainy with his lo-fi effort that takes you deep into an intimate basement. Overall, killer stuff.
