A guy like Seamus Haji of course knows a thing or two about Disco and when he started his ‘Re-Loved by’ series a while ago a little smile could be seen on my face, because it brought the man from Brighton back to where he belongs (after some excursions into more poppy territories). Let’s not forget about the huge funky House records that man released on labels like Defected or his own Big Love & Soul Love imprint in the late 90s and early 00s. On his new EP for Andy Williams’ Midnight Riot stable, he delivers four awesome funky like hell Disco edits, which manage to be very close to the Originals (and therefore are not stupidly housed up). The best of the lot, the irresistibly groove ‘I Need A Little More’ gets a bonus Yam Who? Remix which adds a little more punch to the game, heading towards more Nu Disco areas. All in all this is another superb outing from Seamus and a must have item for any Disco lover.
