What a breath of fresh air this track is! In a very saturated market of weak psy releases and cookie-cutter uplifting yawnathons, Sam Laxton comes out triumphant with this chunky club beast that encompasses everything but the kitchen sink. Monster off-beat and rolling bass patterns, clever editing of classic acid sounds, lashings of psy fx and then, out of nowhere, a heavenly plucky synth breakdown that wouldn’t be out of place on a Vandit release! Great to see this young producer thinking outside the box, it’s no wonder he’s picking up admirers in the firm of PVD, AVB, Aly & Fila and Emery! Can’t wait for more from Mr Laxton!
