Those mighty Italians have done it again. Searching for superb poolside sounds can be quite annoying, as there are many crappy sounds flying around. So I am thankful, Gigi Frassanito aka Soulbridge and his HSR label keep the soulful, funky flag raised. His new outing features a quality vocal from Curtis Clark which together with Gigi’s sublime production skills makes it a serious contender of poolside anthem of the month. On the remix front DJ Umbi serves a slice of deeper, yet soulful bomb that contains brilliant keys. Finally Soul go for a funk driven monster of a mix that leads to serious reactions on the beaches near you. This is a release that would have been on Soulfuric or Defected 10 years ago. Now HSR is the home of these sounds and that is a good thing innit.
