Savia Park is a fine and ever expanding label with a great crew of artists at its core. Now returning to release on it is Turbokitchen, a trio of Italian producers and DJs called Davide, Federico, and Filippo. They first appeared here in 2014 and had great success when they did, and this new one is sure to be just as big. It features two originals and two fine remixes.
There is lots to love here for fans of deep and moody house, and for me the pick might be the Slurm remix of Envelops. It is a slow but purposeful number with swaying drums and spaced out synths all creating a cool sci-fi vibe. The original is more hurried and direct, with deep and soft drums lulling you into the groove. A second remix from Raul Garcia is also firing, with classic cow bell pings, well treated drums rolling down low and detailed little sound designs filling in up top. Lastly, Not Your Solider is the other Turbokitchen original and is a brain frying cut with frazzled synths, clacking beats and filtered vocals bringing a dark feel.
