1. Commissioned – So Good To Know (The Savior)
At a very young age I heard this. Even then I knew the progressions and the melody was on point. I believe this song is one of the first songs that made me fall in love with sound.
2. Kanye West – Through the Wire
Besides the high level of consistent albums Kanye has released, this song was my introduction to him. This guy just has an amazing track list.
3. Sticky ft Ms Dynamite – Booo!
The song dwelled in my high school parties. I can never get over the power of this song. Power!
4. Basement Jaxx – Red Alert
I remember my Aunty blasting this song. I think the bass is my favourite instrument and the bass line and top line in this song simply make you want to move.
5. Jurassic Park Theme
I used to play the Clarinet in an orchestra when I was very young. Those days I hated it and stopped. As I got older I started appreciating movie scores and classical music, the effortless power it brings to the world of sound. One day I would like to make my own score.
6. Brandy Never Say Never
The first album I ever bought. Needs to be included. Great piece of work.
7. More Fire Crew – Oi!
My older brother would always blast this song from his room. You can’t not bounce to this song.
8. Coubo – Zheng
I was introduced to the wonder recently. Sit back and let this absorb you
9. Earth, Wind & Fire – Let’s Groove
The sound of Joy, fun and forgiveness.
10. Amine Edge & DANCE – Lost (Original Mix)
Its just splendid, thats why its here.
Xavier Eleven
As one half of production duo Attaca Pesante, Xavier Eleven was behind the 2009 hit ‘Make It Funky For Me’ and has since gone on to produce for Bashy and Katy Shotter, as well as remixing the likes of David Guetta, Melanie Fiona and Mclean.
Now back in the studio with a fresh production sound, the seasoned producer has offered up his enigmatic new single ‘Clearer feat. Grace Phethean’. A dynamic, vocal lead house cut that playfully intertwines percussive clicks, smooth drums and a melodic brass section, to create a bouncy light-hearted club and radio crossover track.
Xavier Eleven – Clearer (feat. Grace Phethean) is OUT NOW via Love & Other.
