Maurice Aymard Top 5 Galaktika Moments
A tireless innovator, Maurice Aymard is a man who’s been responsible for some terrific music over the past few years. The Barcelona-based DJ, producer and label owner is perhaps best known for his work at Galaktika Records, a label he established way back in 2005. Known for hosting work from the likes of Gui Boratto, James Teej and Paulo Olarte (as well as Aymard himself), the label continues to make impressive strides in the house and techno domain, with numerous top drawer DJs playing their tunes. With this in mind, we asked Maurice to run through his Top 5 Galaktika moments to date. As you might imagine, there’s plenty for fans of discerning electronica to sink their teeth into here.
Picnic Elektronik Galaktika Showcase
It couldn’t get any better than this! Feauting live sets from Gui Boratto and Pablo Bolivar as well as DJ sets from Garnica, Pablo Sanchez and bossman Maurice Aymard one sunny Sunday afternoon in the Montjuic Mountain. Around 5,000 fans came to the show and it was one of the best and most magical moments of the label to date. Our biggest gift to our city.
Paulo Olarte – Love en ‘On’
This is one of Paulo Olarte’s dirtiest tracks, with crazy Spanish vocals that evoke the great Marijuli. There’s not much to say here; just dance and enjoy the video that Paulo made!
Garnica – No Regrets (Undo Remix)
After Garnica’s album was released, we did a beautiful pack of remixes. Undo´s remix was our favourite though, and is a timeless piece of art.

Maurice Aymard & Gui Boratto – Home
This is the lead single from Maurice´s debut album, “ Between Stars”. Melodies, passion and chords identify this nostalgic song, “Home”, which came about from Maurice and Gui’s longstanding friendship. Again, the video was also directed by Xavi Bove
Paulo Olarte – Mil Años (Official Video)
This has got to be one of Paulo’s best!Tthis one was recorded in Berlin at a transsexual bar and was not actually released on Galaktika Records, but on a sub-label called Gala which had only one release in 12”.
