After hours grooving…
D.O.N.S. has been providing the Big Fun following the release of his massive remix of the 2005 classic track featuring Terri B. With plenty in the pipeline, D.O.N.S. invites us back to his for some after hours listening…
1. Agoria – Les Violons Ivres (Super Remix)
This is by far one of the most beautiful Techno tracks of all times even though it’s now over 7 years old. I still get shivers when I play or listen to it. The melody of the violins is just mesmerising. Last track of the night when the sun comes up in the morning. Just perfect.
2. Hyenah – I Wish (Manoo Likes Apfelschorle Remix)
A great melodic track supported with a floating, pumping almost hypnotic beat. The track continues its build up until it collapses in the breakdown where the vocal slowly kicks in on a heartbeat like bassline. It creates a great atmosphere.
3. Pizeta – Remedios (Ninetoes Remix)
Just a great remix by Ninetoes. Great percussive elements and vocals layered on top of a rough driving bassline and beat. Top Tech House tune on Kling Klong Records.
4. Matt Sassari, Reinier Zonneveld – Cult (Original Mix)
A great collaboration between Matt & Reineir. A deep and dark, hypnotic Techno track with a new wave styled vocal sample loosing up the repetitive and simple synth melody creating the vibe of the track. This one’s made for the dancefloor.
5. Fabio Neural – Mein Freund
Maybe it’s the percussion loop at the beginning that reminds me of Blondie’s ‘Heart of Glass’. It’s a crazy tune with a German vocal that tweaks in different heights throughout the whole track.
6. Z.E.T.A. – Against Tune
This track came out prior Miami WMC 2013 on the Croatian label Blacksoul Music. I love the vibe and even though it’s almost two years old I still play it.
7. Paride Saraceni – Spring Chances
I’ve pretty much loved all of Paride’s releases over the past few months. This one is my favourite for the moment. The melody that rides throughout the whole track gives it an amazing flow and space trippy vibe.
8. Loco & Jam – Nugget (Original Mix)
A light tribal groove that slowly builds up and is embedded in heavy techno sweeps and sound effects until a deep jackin’ bassline kicks in. The track just keeps on going and becomes more exciting by the second.
9. Koen Groeneveld – Believe In Magic (Original Mix)
I just love Koen’s Techno style. Dark and driving without losing it’s great atmosphere without even mentioning his phatt production sound.
10. John Monkman & Pete Tong – The Bumps (Pleasurekraft Remix)
The Pleasurekraft remix does the job making it a big after hour track. Their typical bassline guided by hypnotic and atmospheric sounds makes it a safe pick for the early hours.
