1. “Sweet N’ Sour”- The Crusaders
“Free As The Wind” album by The Crusaders was the first album I bought. They’re simply amazing musicians

2. “I Thought It Was You” – Herbie Hancock
I remember hearing this for the first time in a club, we went from disco between 125- 130 bpm to this track at about 110 115 bpm and it worked

3. “Streetlife” – The Crusaders
I remember seeing this track being performed at the Hammersmith Odeon with Randy Crawford and I was blown away

4. “The Beat Goes On” – The Whispers
A classic track that’s still being played nearly 30 years later

5. “I Feel For You” – Chaka Khan
The first time I listened to this album I thought to myself how the hell did they do this!
In 1984 to do this was just amazing,  using samplers from that era and no visual editing on screens etc
I still can’t figure out how they did it!

6. “Always There” – Incognito
It’s the begining of the acid jazz scene and I loved the original too by Ronnie Laws

7. “What You Won’t Do For Love” – Bobby Caldwell
He was one of the first white soul singers and his label at the time hid the fact that he was white
from his black audience until he had to perform live on Soul Train

8. “Get Up Off Of That Thing” – James Brown
This is simply the funkiest tune ever made.

9. “I Can’t Get Enough” – Michael Jackson
I just love this track and it brings back some great memories

10. “Fantasy” – Earth Wind & Fire
Just amazing string horns and vocal arrangements that i never get tired of hearing.
