01. Beastie Boys ‘So What’cha Want’ (Def Jam Recordings)
Just fat beats with distorted rough rhymes – love that tune.
02. Prince ‘I Would Die 4U’ (Warner)
I’m a huge fan of Prince. I am so glad that he has started doing music like this again. That’s what he does best.
03. Q-Tip ‘Vivrant Thing’ (Def Jam Recordings)
He is definitely one of my favourite hip-hop artists. This song can be played at all kinds of parties, from Hip Hop to House. This one really rocks. I wish I could have the opportunity to work with him.
04. The Time ‘Jungle Love’ (Warner)
My favourite track of this great band. Unfortunately they made just a few records. At the beginning of the 80’s they were from the same crew as Prince.
05. Air ‘All I Need’ (Virgin)
This is just a perfect tune. 100% romantic.
06. The Strokes ‘On The Other Side’ (RCA)
I love the ‘First impressions’ album. That is my favourite track. Love hearing it on my car stereo.
07. Grandmaster Flash & The Furious 5 ‘The Message’ (Sugarhill Recordings)
That was the beginning. It got me into hip-hop, and many other people too.
08. No Doubt ‘Hella Good’
This song brought a new style. Electro combined with rock elements and on top vocals of my recent favourite female singer.
09. Dr. Dre ft. Snoop Dogg ‘Still’ (Aftermath/Interscope)
He is a legend. His sound exudes so much power and darkness at the same time. For this tune he teamed up again with Snoop after a long time.
10. Alice In Chains ‘Would’ (Columbia)
A fantastic song from the excellent ‘Dirt’ album. It’s a shame that the singer died so soon. I am happy I had the opportunity to see them perform a few times.
