Trainspotting With KLP

Sydneysider DJ/producer/songwriter/vocalist KLP (aka Kristy Lee Peters) brings some serious Southern heat with her upcoming EP ‘Alter’, via uplifting catchy-as-hell club-busting first single ‘Symphony’, out now on Medium Rare Recordings. One of Australia’s most in demand songwriters/vocalists, trailing platinum records and multiple ARIA Award nominations, KLP has already made assaults on the Northern Hemisphere, landing cuts with Skrillex, Sonny Fodera, Marten Horger, Peking Duk, and through collabs with fellow-Aussie breakthrough artists like Loods, plus releases on Higher Ground, Ministry of Sound, MicoHertz, Ultra and Warner Music. ‘Symphony’ is an honest-to-wickedness, high energy, takes no prisoners cut that draws you right in. Dance frenzy guaranteed. To celebrate the new release, DMCWorld goes trainspotting with KLP.

Vnssa – Giving You – Three Six Zero

As soon as I hear her teasing this vocal on her socials I was hooked. It’s sexy and powerful and all the things I need in a track.

Loofy – Last Night – Nervous

There is a real simplicity to this track and I love the way there is so much space around the vocal and the lead synth part.

KLP – Symphony – Medium Rare Recordings

I mean, it would be weird if I want spinning my own tunes right? Around the second build up when the drums change up and the keys really kick it up a notch is my absolute favourite moment.

KLP - Symphony (Official Visualiser)

Patrick Prins – Le Voie Le Soleil (Solardo Remix) – Toolroom

This has been in my sets for a little while. I find it’s a slow burner, the crowd doesn’t quite know how good it’s about to get. Then when the keys drop they all loose their minds.

Patrick Prins - Le Voie Le Soleil (Solardo Remix) [House/Rave]

Loods – In Your Arms – Loods

I had the pleasure of working with Loods on this one. It was a real joy to find the right lyrics and vocal sound/production to sit alongside such a solid track.

Loods - In Your Arms (Extended Mix)

Shadow Child – Rising High – Toolroom

These lyrics combined with strings and such a euphoric synth make for a match made in heaven. So simple yet so damn good.

Rising High (Extended Mix)

Chris Study – Desire – CSS

I really enjoy how this track unfolds. Drip feeding us all the good bits as they slowly build up and you find yourself lost inside the middle of it all.

Chris Stussy - Desire

T e s t p r e s s – U – Stress Records

It’s been out for a little while but ever since I first got my ears around this track I was obsessed. It always slams in my sets. Can’t get enough.

Ben Miller – Bring That Back – Hurry Up Slowly

Another aussie here providing absolute fire. This track has such a nice bounce to it, you can’t help but let it play on and on.

Walker & Royce – Might Just – Dirtybird

The way they get the bottom end sitting – it just slaps.

Walker & Royce, James Patterson - Might Just (Extended Mix)
