This collection of songs represents musical collective, ‘Underground Dance Artists United For Life’ whose aim with this album is to contribute to the fight against Aids by supporting the charity LIFEbeat (www.lifebeat.org).
Put together by Kevin Hedge and Josh Milan aka Blaze this has the cream of the crop of Soulful music with luminaries such as Kenny Bodien, Byron Stingily and Ultra Nate all making a welcome appearance. The album is being released as two separate CDs with the first containing gems like Joi Cardwell’s stunning vocal on “Be Yourself”, while the second serves up a selection of alternative versions. Dennis Ferrer’s hot remix of current anthem “Most Precious Love” is here as is Kokis’s explosive dub of Stingily’s “Spread Love”. “Keep Hope Alive” proves that Dance music can make a difference to peoples lives and not just on the dancefloor.
