The idea is to recreate Crazy Penis’ pioneering debut album ‘A Nice Hot Bath With’ and give it a re-rub twelve years on, with a team of hot studio producers at the controls. Said producers are well chosen, from Ray Mang and his typically colourful take on Smoovin’ Groovin’, the disco flourish of Faze Action on ‘Drop Your Weapon’ and the deliciously twisted bass line of Do It Good, a Crazy P mix that gets more lush as it progresses. Greg Wilson, too, is subtly groovy in his extended edit of ‘Starwar’. Yam Who? and Rune Lindbaek also do a fine job, making this a perfect combination of new and intriguing versions of a bona fide Balearic classic.
