METAMATICS
3 JAK AND DIVE
HYDROGEN DUKEBOX

Lee Norris flits around like a moth and burrows into heads when they’re trying their darnedest to catch 40 winks. ‘Free Robot’ ups the ante for progressive robot aerobics, juddering with mad scientist swirls, and ‘Manchester/Sheffield’
attempts CPU hip-hop for the trickiest of discos. Both are by far the liveliest leaders of a downtempo set for head-swimmers where the ambience finds it hard to relax. Definitely a good, album-shaping ploy, as ‘Dive’ never threatens to vaporise into nothingness with its one-two of textbook chilled patterns and scraping, sizzled loops. Electric insomnia worth keeping an eye open for.
