Alex Henning is the worldwide tour manager for the WeTraffik group and also releases on the DigitalTraffik label. Here he links with Italian producer Sisko Electrofanatik, who has an assured back catalogue that takes in great music on labels like Neurotraxx. Opener ‘Storm is Coming’ is a brooding house tune with vocals that build and build and are filled with real tension. Rubbery drums, stiff hits and some great synths all add flames to the fire and when it takes light it really will make a mark on the floor. The other original is ‘Beats Night’, again with Shyam’s moody vocals adding an air of tension to the heavy house groove. Deep and spacious, it is a patient track with a great sense of atmosphere. Closing out this fantastic EP is a remix by Mr Bizz that makes ‘Storm is Coming’ into a much more direct and rumbling main room cut with fat bass and stern kicks that demand you dance. All in all then this is a meaty EP that packs a real punch and another outstanding release for the Baroque imprint.
