URBAN MYTH CLUB

Thanks to a leaked album sampler finding its way into the hands of a DJ in Canada who then playlisted all six tracks on his show, Urban Myth Club were hailed to be “the hottest downtempo act out of the UK ever”. The UK were not far behind. Already with major festivals under their belt (The Big Chill-Main Stage and Glastonbury), airplay on Britain’s major stations (Radio 1, Radio 2, Xfm and Classic FM), and musical connections with the likes of The Prodigy and Beastie Boys.  The Urban Myth Club formed when Dezz met Hollywood film composer Stephen Barton on the internet shortly after he had finished working on Gladiator. The two met up in 2003 and began writing before Stephen returned to Hollywood to work with Harry Gregson Williams on blockbusters including Shrek 2 and, most recently, Narnia. Additional members include Andy Dragazis of Blue States and legendary producer Ian Sanderson, whose sample work has been used by the likes of Madonna and Lemon Jelly. This is the band to watch out for in 2006.
