DANCEROCKS MIXED, REMIXED & UNMIXED BY EDDIE TEMPLE MORRIS
BOTCHIT & SCARPER

Eddie Temple Morris first got tongues wagging with his over enthusiastic presentation, on his XFM radio show The Remix, where he would track down hard to find, forthcoming and not quite kosher remixes, of a lot of today’s happening bands and artists. To say playing these cuts made Eddie TM nearly wet himself is an understatement. ‘I‚m really feeling that’ became a catch-phrase amongst XFM listeners. Here on ‘DanceRocks’ ETM shows off some new skills, and gets behind the mixing desk himself, opening the album with his own superb rework of Snow Patrol’s ‘Wow’, adding big rave riffs and a rolling break, which really drives the song into a floor filler anthem. Eddie TM is also given a free reign on Kasabian’s ‘Club Foot’, beefing up the beats and letting off some squiggly bits. With ‘Valentine’ from the Delays he takes a bit of a proggy route, and Ladytron’s ‘Blue Jeans’ gets mashed with the The Stooges classic ‘I Wanna Be Your Dog’. ‘DanceRocks’ is a reflection of what is happening on a Friday night in most student unions, and half decent clubs and bars across the UK. Its worth having just for the Snow Patrol cut alone.
