DANCEROCKS MIXED, REMIXED & UNMIXED BY EDDIE TEMPLE MORRIS
BOTCHIT & SCARPER

Battering down the fences separating dance and rock music started with Andrew Weatherall in the late 80s and is now such big business that Manumission devote whole events to it under the banner Ibiza Rocks. The man behind that is Eddy Temple Morris, who’s also presented The Remix on XFM for the last six years. Eddy’s DJ sets are all abut the kind of mania you find at Big Tune Peak Time in clubs combined with the roar that goes up when a group blasts into their Big Hit.  This double set is a roof-raising collection of Eddy’s remixes plus his weapons of mass destruction such as Adam Freeland’s energised tearup of the Doors’ ‘Hello I Love You’ and iLs having fun with The Who’s ‘Baba O’Reilly’. The second CD mainly showcases Eddy’s breaks treatments of tackle from names including Humanzi, Kasabian, Loose Cannons and Ladytron, who are cheekily planted over the Stooges’ ‘I Wanna Be Your Dog’. This man puts some fun into breaks and pushes all the right buttons for 2007. He even makes Snow Patrol sound palatable so deserves maximum respect.
