Kitsune’s Maison is now onto its third floor, and continues to dazzle with its sheer quality and variety. Once again electro and house are the main beneficiaries, and if you look past the buzz-names of the moment you’ll find music that’s funky as you like. Van She’s remix of the Klaxons’ ‘Gravity’s Rainbow’ definitely falls into that category, making a play for the bass woofer, but Simian Mobile Disco, Freeform Five, The Whip and Fox ‘n’ Wolf are by no means overshadowed. Meanwhile remixes of Gossip (by Soulwax) and the Valentinos keep the feet tapping. In short, another cutting edge release in what is becoming an increasingly essential series.
