Mark Farina Live In Tokyo
OM

Some ‘live’ albums don’t really come across as such, but Mark Farina’s
single mix in Tokyo has all the frisson of a live gig, not to mention the
crowd whooping in the background when the breakdowns bite! Farina’s
characteristic bouncing house style is in evidence early on, where Troydon
and Decosta’s ‘NY Minute’ plays a big part in getting the mix up and
running. The mixing is excellent, sharp but with a live feel that means the
rougher joins work really well. For firm evidence of this, the join from
Greenskeepers’ ‘Trouble’ into the Toka Project mix Ken ECB’s ‘I Heart
Bougie’ is a surefire winner – as is the whole mix, which projects its
energy straight out the speakers into your home. A must-buy.
