The second in the bi-annual ‘Transitions’ series is classic John Digweed. As is customary it features a single mix that could almost be a single track, so seamless is the mixing as it builds inexorably through the duration. Early highs are found in the shimmering treble lines of Guy Gerber’s remix of Chaim EP’s ‘Dana’, tempered by more minimal stuff from Williams and Evil Hinko. The big finish comes courtesy of Digweed’s edit of Jackmate’s ‘Manray’, a powerful piece of trance-tinged material that crowns a mix of darkly thrilling house music.
