With its lot of eighties pop/rock references, it’s as if Kish Mauve got stuck in a not so imaginative past, which is a shame as this band can obviously write a decent pop tune and a catchy chorus. Luckily Mark Moore & Kinky Roland take things further into kitsh-pop and turn ‘Modern Love’ into a glossy Duran Duran anthem.
