Sino is developing into a great label with its impressive array of releases by the likes of Joris Voorn, Technasia and Steve Rachmad. Now Brazil’s Renato Cohen steams in with a sledgehammer blast of disco fractures, tribal rhythm whoopee and a dramatic ‘Basic Channel’-style riff. But the killer lurks on the flip where ‘Vodu’ goes in tribal before a subterranean heartbeat drop ushers in a seismic double kick drum effect which leaves few roofs unblown.
