Back after a three year absence, Jamiroquai’s “Feels Just Like It Should” gets happy-slapped by Timo Maas into a thunderous tech-house monster. Maas loops the Donna Summer soundalike chorus up over stomping drums and a sleazy, sexed out b-line, the 80’s influenced keys and wooshing sound FX completing the picture of a club losing it to in time to the beat. And to be honest, there’s not much more to it than that – it builds, builds again, drops, then ramps up again, creating some real feverish anticipation along the way. Simplicity is definitely the key in this instance to instant dancefloor carnage. And will probably give the hatted one a big hit to boot, so everyone’s happy.
