Anima Records head-honcho Jini Cowan once again steps up the game with this latest combination of three tracks for the Strictly Deep imprint. Beginning with the brittle funk of ‘Umbra’ and its determined low-end theory the concept soon expands along with ‘Deliver Us’ which also sequences robust FX together with a feverish intensity that soon counts as addictive. However, for all purposes its ‘Roots’ that provides the most telling sonic experience via its engaging, undulating swing packed full of emotive vocals and brisk synth lines lending the production its stand-out attributes.
