MFR know their shit when it comes to killer house and techno, and if you want proof look at the roll call for this EP – former Art Department producer Kenny Glasgow remixed by Finnish board supremo Jori Hulkonnen and Diynamic’s wunderkind H.O.S.H.
The original is a low slung warped groove which is underpinned by Shanira G’s breathless vocals, the woozy electronics colliding with them to come off as a modern day Jamie Princple style sex jam. H.O.S.H goes for a straighter and more hedonistic main room, but it’s Jori who wins for these ears. There’s not too much done to the original other than bringing the gnarly otherworldliness that summed up everything good about the productions he did both on his own and alongside Tiga fifteen years ago – the really good acid infused electro house that got lost under the Fischerspooner rip offs.
