Love the dark and twisted feel to this, especially ‘Gutterlove’ with its nasty bassline and haunting vocal treatments vying for your attention against sinister strings and an assortment of imaginative FX. Dispensing with any unnecessary melodic reference this aims straight for the heart with a heavy-duty production that will have you reaching for the volume. ‘Sunnyside Up’ continues in the same vein, although with warm chords adding spice to the array of expressive percussive and vocal interludes. Enzo Siragusa & Chris Lattner provide the remix by replaying the elements to come up with an adventurous alternative.
